Our unit, character, and book studies are unique as they are shaped around my own experiences growing up in Hawai’i amongst many diverse cultures and offers a Kānaka’s perspective. The wisdom from my Kūpuna (elders) and other practitioners in my community have helped to guide the topics in these unit studies. These studies spotlight literature, histories and voices commonly misrepresented due to colonial influences.

My hope is to share authentic, lived stories that spark your curiosity to explore and learn more about these cultures, communities and the people within them.
